Recommendation for good quality anime

hi all

I have seen a lot of anime series now, and well, I love an anime that have the "can`t whait for the next episode" thing. By that I mean also that has good quality picture, excelent story (and deep), characters, etc.
In this forum I saw the names last exile and ergo proxy...uff thats what I mean an excelent anime.

The serie that I have seen so far are:
Eva
Rahxephone(One of my favorite)
Lain
Kare Kano (mm..it was a good serie through from 1 to 17)
Cowboy Beebop
Last exile (excelent)
Ergo Proxy (What a serie!...it blow me away..by far the best opening)
Blue Gender
Escaflowne
Utena (didn`t like it)


I have seen some names, like Texhnolyze, but I still don`t know.
I preferr newest anime, because they are more well done (my Idea).

I'm not sure that I get it either. It seems to me that Revolutionary Girl Utena meets the criteria that you just gave, Kintoke. While it might not be everyone's cup of tea, it is a quality show IMO.

What was it about Utena that you didn't like? As Jimmie said, it more than satisfies all of your criteria. Unless 1997 is too old? But then, Evangelion (which you liked) is a contemporary of Utena's... I'm scratching my head here too.



That said... Maybe look into:

Haibane Renmei (13 episodes)
From the same creators as Lain, a beautiful and philosophical series. Slow paced, but don't let that put you off. Character driven.

Stellvia (26 episodes)
Don't pass judgement on this one until you've gone at least 12 episodes in... it's much more involved than it seems at first.

Planetes (26 episodes)
I'm only a handful of episodes in for the first time myself, but I can tell that this in an excellent hard science fiction series!

My-Hime- It's action packed, a lot of plot twists and very good character development.

Full Metal Panic - Very action packed but has a great underlying love story, very good character development and some comedy thrown in.

Black Cat - What I've seen so far very action orientated and a good story

first of all, sorry for my english, is my second language. What Im trying to say is that even it is a good show, with a good story (I mean, it takes topics like growing up, etc) I think is too "delicated".. c`mon, roses everywhere mm..is not my stuff really, but hell ITS just me

I like any type of series from last exile, eva to ergo proxy. But it need to have an excelent and absorvent story (and also a deep one)... maybe the word adult may fit.
