Default two random questions about Gundam video games

Is there a game that features an opening or cut scenes with modern, OVA-quality or better animation of 0079 era mobile suits (NOT from 08th MS Team or any other OVA series), kinda like how the first R2 DVD of Shin Getter Robo VS Neo Getter Robo had modern animation of Mazinger Z (which reminds me, I have to get the rest of that series)?

I saw such 0079 footage at a Tokyo cosplay convention in 2005, but I have no idea where it came from (and nobody on here seemed to know either when I asked in General Anime). I'm pretty sure it wasn't the same as the animation in the Miller's Report extras, but it was in a similar style.

Also, I seem to remember hearing about a side-scrolling or vertical-scrolling 2D Gundam shooter. Does such a game exist or did someone just get Gundam confused with the Macross: DYRL game?

I'm not sure as most Gundam games are pretty bad. I guess you could check out IGN's pages on the games since they might have screenshots.

I know the games Journey to Jaburo and Encounters in Space had quite a few reanimated scenes.

SD Gundam G Genernation NEO (PS2) had few animated scenes (mixed 2D & 3D), yet very nice and special too such as: Char vs Gato, Master Asia vs the 5 Gundam Wing boys, and so on.

Also, an excellent game play too where all the Gundam universe stories are crossed and mixed together. It's even better than SD Generation Seed IMO, though both are very good games and would surly appeal to you if you're a SRW fan

Journey to Jaburo
Encounters in Space
Zeonic Front

All three of these games have cutscenes (in ZF's case, it's the movie you select on the main menu) featuring crisp animation that most anime produced after 2000 looks like. Of course, the first two games are terrible, but Zeonic Front is a very challenging game (Mission 6 comes to mind).

There is a 2D side-scrolling SD Gundam arcade game and a 2D Gundam 0079 street fighting arcade game. Both were made by Banpresto.
