I'd rather see ZZ, X, and Victory get some kind of release before anyone goes and re-releases Wing.
Out of curiosity, have you actually SEEN ZZ?

No, it doesn't. Or maybe it seems like it to you, but it most certainly isn't.

As for a region 1 release, I wouldn't hold my breath. Plenty of longer shows released unremastered in R1 have been re-relased remastered in R2, but so far only approximately 1 has made it over to NA (Evangelion.)

Yes. Alas, the first third is quite "blah". It get's better as it goes. Towards the end is when it becomes somewhat decent. Considering the mediocre way the show began, Tomino did what he could to salvage it. There was also that issue of him getting approval for Char's Counterattack, thus the Neo Zeon civil war in ZZ jumped out of plothole hell when he had to find someone to fill in the role originally planned for Char. ZZ did have a nice soundtrack and some interesting mechanical designs. All in all it is kind of unimpressive following something like Zeta; yet, I still find it a better series than Wing. I will say that Wing had nice music and mechanical designs.

It was previously released as a set of five box sets (one for each Gundam pilot).

As for the original question... I think it's more likely that we might eventually see an HD-DVD/Blu-ray release once Bandai Visual in Japan and Bandai Entertainment in the US both start releasing their TV series that way, which will be years away if ever. I'd be very surprised if we got a remastered DVD release - this is no Eva.

08th MS Team remaster... mmm. Now I'd dip for that, it was one of my favorites. I'm surprised they haven't remastered original MSG, or have they?
I find it a perfect example of the hypocrisy that some fans like to perpetuate that you've selected derisive language to talk about one of these cartoons and those who like it while speaking so enthusiastically about another one. I needed a good laugh to start my weekend.

Although Gundam W isn't among my favorite Gundam shows i wouldn't mind buying it in HD format (BD or remastered DVD)...well as long as it's not WS or so

But i would still rather have the remastered 8th MS Team before that one :>

True. Cowboy Bebop could be considered Bandai's "Evangelion". Gundam Wing is still a pretty popular show, especially for those of us who got into anime on it. I don't think that Bandai Ent. is strapped for cash that much to bring a remastered release over when they just budget released it. Who knows what we'll see down the line though but as a Wing fan it caught my eye.

Gundam Wing starts off looking great, but then you really get to notice everything that's actually wrong with the picture and all.

I think remastered video with remastered audio (5.1 at least) would kick ass.
