Dodgy Irish accent in episode 1, dodgy Scottish accent in episode 3.
Those are my only 2 complaints about the dub, and seeings as they were very minor characters that's not a huge complaint (though having the first episode open with said dodgy Irish accent may not have been the best idea. It did make me cringe a bit - before I listened to a bit more of the show and decided the rest was completely solid). The interplay between the two lead characters is very convincing, Monica and Jessica's voices just seem to 'mesh' extremely well here and their performances sounded very natural. It helps that the overall story and style is very mature and the dialogue well-written. That along with all the solid performances made it easy for me to get engrossed in the show. Gah, Wish I could remember more specific roles and names to talk about because there were a lot of good ones here. Only other one I can remember is Jason Douglas as the private eye, but I always enjoy his performances in any show. So much fun to listen to! Looking forward to the next disk. |

Okay, Good news Monica, I will not be kicking your ass. Episodes 2-4 were a huge improvement over Episode 1. Great Show and I will admit that Jason Douglas, Monica and Jessica were all great.

Even if Your Divine Ass was not safe, I would still interpose my own between it and any threats of physical harm to You.

This is one of the rare instances where I've purchased a volume without having previewed it via download first, & I liked it enough that I expect to purchase the complete series. The VA cast & it being a BONES project was enough for me to consider it a safe bet. So far, so good!

I finally picked this up and watched it yesterday. Unlike most of the others here, I was hooked from the first episode. I thought the grief and anguish of Kurau's father was fascinating, and very well acted by John Gremillion. Yes, there's more action in the following episodes, but that doesn't necessarily mean they're better. Just filled with more action. I like the characters, and the acting is excellent. Matt Greenfield's got himself another excellent show here.

Wow, great job Matt. Nice to see Matt is reviving some of the old voice actors here. Rick Peeples has an appearance in episode 8 and Luci Christian plays a very bratty kid. Other new actors on this volume include Christine Auten and Andrew Love. Very Good Series so far and Miss Rial, I must say this might be your best performance ever considering you show a great range of emotion.
