I guess I shouldn't be shocked, but I wasn't expecting this too come out this fast. I am already collecting the DVD half season sets. I will likely continue to do that until bigger BD sets comes out.

Depending on the overall price vs. video quality (HD or Upscale) I may or may not get this. If the video and audio aren't a major step-up and it doesn't justify the price difference, I'll stick with the DVDs. Gotta say though, this is really fast for a BD release. Thought we wouldn't see this until the show had been fully released on DVD. C'est la vie.

I am of the opposite mind I wish they had announced that they had plans for this at the time they started releasing the dvds or solicit it at the same time as the dvds like they did for Shigurui. That way I would not wasted money on a inferior product.

Bleh. I wish they would have done this sooner. Oh well, I guess. Not going for it if it is an upscale.

YAY!!! I have been holding off on D-Gray Man just because of Blu-Ray. Hell, except for One Piece and series that came out before 2000, I am only buying them if they are on Blu-Ray, especially series made in the last 2-3 years, so this was great when it came towards D-Gray Man. Now, if they could only get Baccano! and Gankutsuou out on Blu-Ray.

There is a flaw in that logic. I mean, it is a Shonen Jump series, with a manga that is continuous, so what makes you think the anime will have an ending? That is my only worry about this series.

Shonen Jump anime on Blu-ray? Does this series even look any good? Or is making a BD release an exercise in futility like GSG: Il Teatrino and Tsubasa Chronicle? Maybe I'll be able to tolerate it in HD. The trailers and stuff I've seen look too dark and smeared for DVD.

It ended at episode 103 or rather canned by certain factors. It's a satisfactory ending however and leaves it open for more should TMS decide to animate more since more content is out to make another cour or two and can avoid filler for the most part. The manga is ongoing, slowly but surely.

I'll second that "Yah!"

I was waiting also for a possible BD release just like I'll wait for Soul Eater BD.
