Default Kindaichi Question

I'm planning on reading Kindaichi soonish, and was trying to find a comment I thought I'd read here several months ago.

Does anyone else remember someone from Tokyopop saying that all of the Kindaichi manga (27 or so volumes in Japanese) would be complete in 20 English volumes, because of the way they're grouping the cases into a single edition?

The Tokyopop site still shows 27 potential volumes for this series, making me doubt my recollection.

Unfortunately, at one or two a year it'll still take awhile to get them all.

True, but a small consolation is that volume 15 just came out this week...

Dang it, I keep losing track of these. On to Borders I go in the very near future.

Phah. I was just looking on their site a few weeks ago and saw no Kindaichi releases coming up. Meh.

*runs to bookstore*

That doesn't surprise me. I can't remember if it was volume 13 or 14, but I bought it before a listing for it on their website even went up. Looks like volume 15 is up now, but of course, 16 and above is still greyed out...
