After a very very long wait to get to listen to the english-version of the magical-girl parody ep27 (officially titled [color:blue]Pyururiku Magical Steak in the R1), all I can really say is....
[color:blue]Yes! Yes! Yes! YESSSSSSSSsssssssssssss!!! As I've always expected, it was way way more AWESOME in the english-version. Especially with the visuals. ![]() Thank you, Ocean Group Angel Brigade english-actors. Fair warning, tho. [color:blue]The episode's really totally frickin' hilarious in english! ![]() Still wondering who's gonna be voicing Chitose in GA-X.

I'm finally up to watching the first disk of A (I've been watching about 1 disk of this francshise every other week or so since I bought all three collections a while back after just sampling vol.1 of the original GA). So, I will get to this one, in a month or so.

At this point my most feverishly anticipated upcoming dub. More Loewen, Bouma, Cummer, Leroux, Matthews, Kopsa and Cox will make my (very, very hot) summer very, very cool.

Yeah... I've gotta say that the Angel Brigade girls have never sounded better; this was SOLID voicework...
You'd think that they'd be cutting corners with the budget by now due to the fact that the show isn't as popular as it can be... but that doesn't seem to be the case here at all; there's been this continuous improvement ever since the show started... (that or I'm underestimating Galaxy Angel's US marketing power) The song was GREAT (and so was the vague CCS parody)... In fact, there were 2 songs this disc, both of which were sung quite well. The actual content of this show is what really rocks though; I found the reasoning behind Rattlesnake's trip to the underworld very amusing... but I was also impressed that the end managed to be touching (and the fact that the music was AWESOME). Man, this show somehow got better... like, MUCH better. (production values were kinda all over the place though... except, the onsen-sorta episode had the characters a little more on model than the rest of the episodes, I thought) Seriously... some of the scenarios are GENIUS (such as the escape pod thing)

Yeah. All that and a bag of chips, too.
They even sang in english in the volleyball episode. Really bizarro well, too! ![]()

This is probably the silliest show I own. I don't care. I love it. And I'm so happy to hear Jocelyne Loewen and company again. This is a show and a dub that makes me smile like a big stupid (well, bigger and stupider than normal) idiot.

Galaxy Angel is my favorite English dub. All of the voices fit so well. I'm glad to hear AA continues this fine tradition.

Can anyone clue me in as to whether or not the great Rob Bakewell is in the director's chair for this latest installment of dubbed Angel Brigade goodness?

No idea. I wouldn't be surprised if it was recorded at the same time as GA A, however, so I would tentatively say, yes. The second volume's still on order from my retailer, unfortunately. Maybe that'll actually say something. ![]() |

I have vol.2. I can make a quick check for credits.
EDIT: Okay, I checked the disk. No English credits of any sort. And I noticed that there was no music on the menus. It seems that they basically pushed these disks out the production door as soon as humanly possible. |
