Default Moldiver, Japanese audio

I recently bought the Moldiver perfect collection DVD, and on the Japanese audio with subtitles, there are several places where noone is talking, but there are subtitles! Does anyone know why the sound doesn`t work or what I should do about this? Are all copies like this or just mine? Should I contact Geneon? Thank you!

The subtitles are dubtitles (the dub script basically), which is why. All the discs are like that and there's nothing you can do unfortunately. Moldiver was never a big seller for Pioneer, so I doubt they'll do a re-release of it with fixed subs.

Worst. Excuse. Ever.

Okay, maybe not the worst, but still pretty weak. You'd think someone at Geneon (then Pioneer) would've had a copy of the subtitled VHS that they could have used to help re-enter and re-time the correct subtitles. Failing that, they could've appealed to fandom for a copy of the subtitles tapes. That reasoning always has and always will strike me as lazy.

Iirc the LDs were dubtitled too, not sure about the VHS. Pioneer had a couple of shows from a certain time period where they screwed that up.

Oh, that`s too bad. I was hoping it was just defective so I could return it for a good copy. Well, thanks for everyone`s help anyway.
