Default Funi reps: Need Case Closed info!!!

Now that Case Closed movie 2 has been released, there should be some word on the future of case closed, but there has been nothing. I was just wondering if anyone could give me any information on the subject. I know that it was stated that Case Closed would continue, but I'm beginning to doubt that. Even if you don't know anything, please at least tell mthat you don't Funi reps.

So am I. I'd rather just know straight out that there won't be any more of it released than just keep wondering for the couple of years the license probably has left before it expires completely.

I'd like to know as well, epsecially since I went out of my way to support the series by just recently picking up case 2+3, 4 and 5 and both movies despite my current financial situation (ie being a poor collage student)

I already had Case 1 xd and am eargly awaying Case 6 hopefully as a straight to boxset format!

I've had this idea in the back of my mind for a while, but I'm starting to think that they're going to use Movie 2 as a gauge for if the series still sells at all.

Yeah I think you are not far off the mark. The only way a show like Case Closed is going to sell at this point is CHEAP BOX SETS.
It's a long running formula show. They should be releasing box sets of maybe 26 episodes a pop for around $40. Kinda like their DBZ or Slayers sets that they are putting out at the moment. It also doesn't help that the packaging is kind of ugly for this show. Maybe a complete overhaul of the packaging design and new sets starting at the beginning may help.

They might do that; remember that FUNi is releasing both Ragnarok and Black Blood Brothers in 2-disc singles, and are possibly releasing Aquarion all at once in one box set. So maybe if these do well, FUNi will do more box sets and multi-disc singles.

I did ask Colleen Clinkenbeard at the recent Philadelphia convention (Tandokucon) if any more dubbing had been done on anything related to Case Closed and she said no.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but it's been a LONG time since they did any dubbing of any episodes. It sounds to me like the series is dead as far that goes, and the only way we might see more episodes is sub-only.

Well they have dubbed well past the 100's so they could be taking a break to figure out how they will release it and since funi is doing more eps per dvd or going straight to boxset case closed might also get that treament.

Since this title has more episodes than One Piece, I was waitng for info on season box sets before buying the series, including movies.

Maybe they can put the movies in a box set too like what Inu Yasha did.
