Default With ImaginAsian TV's TMS Anime Classics first run doing well, what should IaTV pick up next?

Justin Sevakis has said that IaTV's TMS Anime Classics has sold surprisingly well, about what Justin himself was hoping to sell. He also said that there will probably be a continuation of the line if all keeps going well.

ImaginAsian TV does have a panel at the upcoming Anime Festival, there could be a chance that their next batch of TMS Classics could be announced.

For those who want a list of TMS animes, here's two listings over at ANN:

TMS Entertainment:
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/ency...any.php?id=292

Tokyo Movie Shinsa (TMS for short):
http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/ency...any.php?id=455

Anyway, like when IaTV first announced their plans to release older TMS animes, let's start guessing again; maybe one will be announced at NYAF.

I'll start:
Ashita no Joe 2 (Ashita no Joe 1 was not animated by TMS though, so this might not happen at all...)
God Mazinger
Rokushin Gattai God Mars (TV and movie; the movie could use a re-release)
Tetsujin 28 FX (FX is from 1992 though, so it might not be eligible for the Classics line; what IS the cut-off point/year for Classics anyway?)

And one that would REALLY be pushing it:
B't X (Liscence rescue it from Illumitoon, and include their dub as an extra Orguss-style)

Given there's a dub for the 1990's Tetsujin series that aired on the Scifi Channel, someone really should release that on DVD. I imagine though, it all depends on which shows they own the proper rights to [vs. ones that might be controlled by production partners]

I'll be happy with:

1. Cat's Eye Season 2
2. Space Adventure Cobra TV & Movie
3. Ulysses 31- I have vague memories of watching this one as a kid, so I wouldn't mind seeing it again.

Pretty much exactly what akcoll said, though I haven't seen any of Ulysses for myself.

I was a little worried about the future of the Anime Classics because Justin Sevakis seems to work full time for ANN now, and just part time at ImaginAsian - but we'll see what happens. I hope for the best.

The show I'd like the most is Space Adventure Cobra.

1) Ginga Tetsudo 999/Galaxy Express 999 TV
2) Uchuu Kaizoku Kyaptin Herlock/Space Pirate Captain Herlock TV
3) Sennen Joo/Queen Millennium TV

And how about:

1) Mazinger Z
2) Great Mazinger
3) UFO Robo Grendizer

All my choices are Toei masterpieces from the 70s and a little way into the 80s.

And God Mazinger? Uhm... as much as I love Mazinger, I really don't think that's the best use of IATV's resources.

Yeah, I heard that it's not really great, maybe good at most, but it still interests me out of the "Classics" TMS has.

I would have also said Red Baron, since that sounds interesting also, but it's a mid-90s show, so IATV probably wouldn't pick it up for the Classics line; even Tetsujin 28 FX is pushing it...
