Default Melty Blood coming to US?

I have a cousin who is very into 2D fighting video games who recently heard that the Tsukihime-based fighting game, Melty Blood, is going to finally makes its debut here in the US. Has anyone else heard this?

Haven't heard anything official, but Act Cadenza could get a port in light of Sony's now relaxed policy on what can appear on PS2 outside of Japan now that the focus of their attention is the PS3.
Moreso likely given that the recent SNK Compilations which were previously Japan-only have appeared in the US.

I don't believe it. Wouldn't there be like hella-crazy licensing issues since it's essentially a fan-made game? And if they did release it, it'd probably sell like shit for the obvious reason that it's an anime-ish, ugly, 2D fighter for the Playstation 2... and there's no way in hell they'd release the PC version despite it being the most up to date.

You might be thinking of Mugen. No, this is an actual game that is in arcades, PS2, and PC.

I would love to see Melty Blood get a U.S. release, but the liklihood of it ever happening is just about nil. In any case, if there had been anything remotely official, I think someone would have posted it somewhere in this forum by now and I haven't seen anything about it.

Yep, it's a monster hit in Japanese arcades and PS2's everywhere. I'd love for it to come out in the US even as a download for the Playstation Store. I can dream can't I?

Has it? I forgot whether or not Type Moon finally decided to back the game.

On a side note, I played MBAC Rev. B online for like an hour today and g'damn is it fun. Though I have yet to be bested by someone. I'm sure it'll happen soon enough.

Could you please tell me where I can play it? I would really just like to play the game, period. Any info would really help. It really is kind of a shame though that Type-Moon doesn't have any real anime TV series past 2. I can imagine that the movies probably won't make it to America very quickly.
