Default ~sola~ anime coming soon to R1?

So, I just posted in the Manga news-forum that the ~sola~ manga is coming to North America in Summer-2008. Broccoli's handling the manga, but it's kinda sneaky that it's featured over at dot-anime.us, which is BV-USA's dvd-mouthpiece.

Do you guys think that means BV-USA is now the most likely company bringing the ~sola~ anime to R1?

I only hope that if it's really BV-USA, that they make sure to add a really competently excellent english-dub (hint: [color:blue]NewGen[/color]) to it and that they copy the LE-packaging of the R2-J.

I know, lotsa dreading on that, but still, whatcha guys think of this strong possibility for ~sola~ anime?

It's all gonna be speculation (positive and negetive) until someone officially says "yes" they have it.

WRT it being BV USA, it just means most of the speculation will be filled with dread.

Basically.

I personally doubt BV has it, so I'm not worried yet. And if they do? Then I don't buy it. I'll worry more about that in the unlikely event that it happens, however.

For now, I'll just wait for more news about the sola anime. It has a decent enough chance of coming over (to a real company), and isn't old at all, so I'm not desperate yet or anything.

Well I'm hoping that BV-USA spends its money on more worthier projects like Blame! movie, Macross Zero, Denno Coil and not on sola.

Congrats to fans of the manga.

Even if it was on Blu Ray, I still wouldn't buy either sola nor Denno Coil at their current prices.

Dot Anime seems to be a kind of partnership between Broccoli and BV-USA. Look at the blogs and you'll notice several of the blogs from Broccoli's old web sites are there now.

And remember, Anime Gamers, Broccoli's sales arm, has been closed for renovation and hasn't been started back up. They point you to Dot Anime to get your Broccoli fix.

No.

They haven't done an English dub for anything since Patlabor (that was a new dub, wasn't it?). They include dubs where they have already been made (Jin-Roh). The chances that they'll change their minds is slim.

Like others are saying, I'll save my dread for when it is confirmed.

My money, figuratively, is on slerch being right. Which means that my money, literally, will not be going to BVUSA.

Speaking of Anime Gamers, I wonder if the site re-vamp will ever be completed. I kind of wanted to buy some stuff from them. However, three months have passed... On the bright side, at least the domain hasn't expired.

I kind of already have Sola on DVD so if it does get licensed in the US by anyone, I would want something different (a dream, I know). My feelings is it's not a title anyone would pick up except for the entity formerly known as Geneon. It's a great show though.

I would really hope that someone else gets the sola anime, unless BV-USA changes their ways with regard to dubs (which I doubt). It's better than no release at all, though, and sola would be one of the very few things I would possibly be willing to buy from BV-USA.

~sola~ , nope don't know nothing of it so... good to see the manga is licensed for the fans. As for BVUSA, nothing to say for them, nothing at all.
