Default Bandai's Agent Aika: Is It Better?

This may have already been answered here, so if it has forgive me.

Will the upcoming Agent Aika re-release by Bandai have better quality video and/or any extras? Or will it basically be the same discs as Central Park except for the Bandai logo slapped on them?

Don't know about the A/V department, but Bandai will include the Live Action episode that wasn't available in the CPM release.

Live action episode? Cool. How does it hold up compared to the animated work?

I know nobody actually has this set yet, as it doesn't come out for another couple months, but I didn't know if there was any news on it that I missed.

I've been wondering about the video quality issue myself, since apparently there's a terrific remastered Aika release in Japan that looks far superior to what CPM had to work with. As I recall, when this Bandai license rescue was announced, Chris said he was going to inquire as to whether it was the remastered version or not, but maybe he never got an answer from Bandai.

As others have noted, if it were the gussied-up new remaster, one questions whether Bandai would be dumping it into a low-priced collection like this. Still, it would be nice to have the definitive word.

The questions I have is this release going to include the Agent Aika: The Virgin Missions OVAs that were released last year that Bandai licensed or is that going to be sold in a different form.

Pretty sure Aika R16 will be a separate release, since the Aika Anime Legends runs 210 minutes, and 210 / 30 minutes = 7 episodes.

Yeah, that was the video quality I was referring to in my first post, as I had seen that link before. It sure would be nice if the remastered version was what Bandai gives us... (crosses fingers)

Anime Legends budget packaging doesn't advertise anything new. Its depressingly "same old" in look.

I had not seen the runtime information. That would have answered my questions there. I'm looking forward to it as much as getting a new dvd of the original series since the one I have is an old vhs copy and dubbed instead of subbed . . .
