Default Artbooks: what's out there and what's worth getting?

I got ABe's Lain artbook that was released by DMP, and I was blown away by how beautiful the art was. The size of pages enhanced the effect. What other artbooks have been/are going to be released stateside, and which ones are worth getting? I also have Nausicaa Watercolor Impressions on my wishlist, and I remember hellkorn told me that Amano's artbook was also really pretty.

By the way, on a different note, I do remember reading somewhere that Abe had said that another one of his artbooks was going to be released in the US. Is my memory faulting me here, or did he actually say that?

If Viz gets around to the Eyeshield 21 artbook, that is an absolute must. Amazing thing.

I know you're looking for US-released artbooks, though I can't help but mention Formcode by Range Murata. (Anything by him, actually.) Formcode isn't like a typical artbook, and it would have to be imported, but (imo) it's really worth every penny.

This doesn't really show what it looks like from the front/side or anything, but here's a pic of my copy. It's basically like a binder and comes with its own box because the book itself is rather large.

That's my shot and getting people to buy this.

Flamboyant: Hakua Ugetsu Works is absolutely gorgeous. It will also have a North American release in a few weeks, too.

Seconded. I completely forgot this was coming out. Glad it is, as I will definitely be buying it. The coloring is really impressive.

Wow this has really opened my eyes to the world of artbooks. I didn't know there were so many.

I'm seriously interested in the Lain artbook (which is in stock in my user book supplier!) and the one from Range Murata. Any clues as to where I could get the Range Murata one?

EDIT: I see there is a anthology called Robot, which I'll definately be picking up!

I got mine here (at a discount), but I'm sure there are places where you can find it cheaper. I'm too lazy to do that much searching. Unfortunately, his Futurhythm is sold out... =(

Be sure to follow the directions (lol) if you get it cause the posters can rip easily.

He was showing off his latest artbook, Gaisokyu, at AnimeFest last year. During one of his panels he mentioned that it didn't have much text (and it doesn't) so it'd be easy to translate and he did expect it would come out in the states soon. Haven't heard anything since, though.

Very nice book. He brought a few copies along, and I got one signed ^_^

I'd personally recommend you to get the Robot artbooks/mangas/anthology's. Up to volume 5 now in the US. I really dig them, like many other people!

I'll have to get the Lain artbook someday, and Flamboyant looks reeeal nice. Will pick this up too, soon hopefully.

@ Pastachan
As for FormCode, are there many releases of this? Same with FutuRythm. There are tons of those on eBay but i'm not too sure...

You've killed two birds with one stone here for me! Firstly, now I know where to get the book (thanks), and now I know this site is legit, because I was looking through it a while back and it looks absolutely perfect, with whole collections of native Japanese manga, etc. I'll have to get round to buying something at some point.
