Default Black Lagoon DVD info help.

I need help with info on legit Black Lagoon DVD's from any region that work with my PS3 in America. It is hard to find the US series from Geneon without using all my gas money.

1. If I decide to spend my gas money on the expensive Geneon series, will the Second Barrage be coming to the US in the future?

2. I know that both seasons are out in other countries, but which ones are legit and have an english dub? I can live with english subtitles if I have to.

3. What is the best way to go about getting this series?

Thanks for the help.

i dunno how to get your PS3 to work with all regions, but the Australian release of Black Lagoon and Black Lagoon: Second Barrage are definately legit. They both have English, Japanese language + english subtitles.

the dvds are $29.95AU each and if you want to get the box that's $39.95AU(with Vol 1 in both seasons)

Not that anyone in the general public is aware of. Geneon is effectively out of business until further notice (technically, they are still in business but not doing or able to do anything). Black Lagoon is one of the titles that seems more likely to get picked up by someone else, but at this point, no one else has announced anything about them. It doesn't look like Second Barrage will be getting an R1 release any time soon.

UK R2PAL release starts September, apparently.

I wouldn't be surprised if BL is announced this summer for R1. With Hellsing Ultimate its the most likely to be released first of all Geneon's titles. BL:TSB is 17+/R (IMO) for the 1st 3 episodes, which might be causing some delay.

Unfortunately a US PS3 will not play R2 or R4 discs. A Japanese PS3 can play R2 discs, but cannot play PAL.
(conversely My UK PS3 will happily play both PAL and NTSC discs as long as they are R2, but for R1 discs I need to plug my DVD player back in and swap the HDMI cables around as I only have one imput)

The Second Barrage has already had an R1 market cable TV airing (& is still being aired). It kills me that the episodes are done & ready to go, but I can't buy them. Rrrrgggghh
