Is Gundam X worth buying?

I'm a really big fan of Gundam although i have watch enough of them to know whats going on. So can anyone recommend buying this series because i heard it's really good

i would say both series are well worth it. turn a gundam was a little bit better imo but both of them are great series. I am still hoilding out some hope that they get there region 1 realse that has been promised since forever. also if can find the z gundam movies at a reasonbale price they are a must have for any gundam fan

Both series are OK. Nothing majorly worth writing home about, but nice to have.

You have to remember X was pulled from a prime TV slot and put on at early Saturday mornings (if memory serves). It's ratings were low. The lowest of any Gundam to date, again, if memory serves.

X's ratings didn't tank until after the time slot change. I don't think X was a masterpiece, but it was interesting to me - I can't say the same of Zeta or V.

To the original poster, I suggest you watch them first, then decide if they are worth the money to you.

According to ANN:

Due perhaps to a lack of interest, Gundam X was cut short by 10 episodes and its timeslot was switched to a dismal Saturday morning 6 am after 26 episodes. As a result, this show received the lowest Japanese viewership rating out of all Gundam TV shows at an average of 2.8 (a record that would later on be broken by SD Gundam Force, which made 2.1). It also marked the end almost 4 straight years of weekly Gundam broadcast and was the last Gundam series to be aired on TV Asahi.

I wasn't there, so I don't know. If you say it wasn't until they changed the time slot, then perhaps you are right. For me it seems that if the ratings were bad, they'd change the time slot.

As far as your opinion on X, I agree. I liked it. Wasn't OMFG amazing, but it wasn't a bad show. AND I actually paid R2 prices for it.

Well i loved Gundam X more than many other Gundam shows like: Wing, G, & Turn A. I used to consider it the best none UC Gundam show until i watched Seed. Worth watching & getting (R1 someday) yes. But paying for the R2 set, you might want to watch few Eps first.
