I'm going to guess that it will be probably be a Gonzo title. If so, it would likely be Tower of Druaga: Aegis of Uruk - strike while it is still hot. Or maybe, Kaze no Stigma. Maybe even Bokurano, which would be really fine with me.

A Druaga "license" would be awesome. Need that on DVD ASAP. In fact, it would BEHOOVE them to get it out on R1 DVD before Sword of Uruk airs next year.

If the other publishers were licensing 15 titles, that'd be one thing. But Geneon's licensing nothing at the moment (and still, maybe, never again); ADV's licensing next to nothing; Media Blasters sort of binges on licenses at times (H titles notwithstanding); TRSI's licensing is slow and steady. Manga and AnimEigo put together license about one title per 15 years, and Viz cancels 15 licenses per year (hyperbole). So where does that leave us? Bandai and Funimation.

The difference here is, Funimation has backing from Navarre Corporation, and Funimation is one of the most successful companies under the Navarre umbrella. That's a significant security blanket during a tough economic period, and it demonstrates to the purse-holders that funding Funimation is a good bet. Are they doing too much? Not really at this point. Geneon's handling the production end of its titles, many of which were done or nearing completion before Geneon went away last year. ADV's done a whole pile of work on the Sojitz licenses, and I don't doubt that ADV will work with Funimation to get that work done — especially considering that ADV's not doing much of its own work, nor making a whole lot of money, at the moment. I'm not saying that you're seeing a problem where no problem exists, but I do say that there's no evidence that Funimation's taken on too much at this time.

Now, here's hoping Funimation picks up Kodomo no Jikan.

Yeah, I think so too. The show did quite well in views on the sites that streamed it and therefore it got a whole lot of free publicity, so to license it this short after the final episode would be a smart choice. When it comes to Slayers Revolution I think that it will be licensed (for sure) sometime, just not now since it just started airing. But who knows maybe they have and if that was the case I would be quite happy since I just finished Next and after finishing Try I would like to have something to fill my Lina-gap, and who but Lina herself would be better to fill it?

I'll just go with my usual Ring ni Kakero 1 prediction.

That would be pretty cool. And if they do, I just hope they'll include the "alternate" episode 1. Y'know, the one that shows what ACTUALLY happened. Hang on, what am I saying? Why would they NOT include it?

? That's not true at all. Plenty of things get licensed before they've finished airing, and some before they've even aired.

As for what it is... I have no idea but I want it to be Monday so I can find out! Actually, damnit, I have Mondays, why can't it be Friday?

And Bandai has an announcement in a little over a week. Ah, this should be good.
