Ah okay then. Now I'm going to be left wondering how the divide goes. Ie units produced vs expected sales vs actual purchases when it comes to the subbed only release of Gurren Lagann. Regardless I can already figure that actual purchases were much higher than both expected sales and by default the amount of units produced.

Yeah, the bandai-ent site hasn't had an update in a little while now, so they might be away until mid next week or so for the announcement.
If that turns out to be the case then I'll just have to meh and keep it at that.. I guess I have until Sunday to either just go for Galaxy Angel X anyway or find a third item to get as per the "at least three items" strategy. Which is sad because Galaxy Angel X gave an easy choice and if I'm forced to pass on it for now, the third choice becomes a lot harder...

I just called Bandai Entertainment's publicly listed toll free number, and left a voice mail message for "Joe", since that was the name of person on the outgoing message (there was no menu tree). I was a bit disorganized, but I mentioned the price, runtime, set or multiple volumes, and dub versus subtitled-only questions, and referenced the Anime on DVD forums as my source. Hopefully we'll get a response on Monday when he returns to the office (though that will be too late for the Bandai sale on TRSI). I think I will also E-mail them, as that may elicit a faster response.

Even so thanks for asking on behalf of everyone. As for email, I guess how much slower or faster that is would depend on how often Bandai actually reads their emails and their pace in terms of responding to them.

I've decided to pass on the sale at Right Stuf and just wait for clarification. While I enjoyed the Galaxy Angel franchise so far in English, the Japanese track has not really interested me too much. Since Galaxy Angel is not a plot driven show, I can live with what I have seen already, as there is no "end" that I must need to see to the show.

So, I wait.

BEUSA e-mails take about 5-7 business days to respond. If you are lucky, 2-3 business days. Lucky me, it's been 2-3 business days for them to respond to me.

Why pass on the sale? You can always cancel the order.

I know, but I've got so many other things going on at the moment, more likely than not, I'll forget that I ordered it, and then forget to cancel it if I don't want it.

I've already had this happen once, so it's not an unreasonable consideration.

I can't speak for The Great Bear, but in my case the issue boils down to this. How long it will likely take Bandai to respond vs when the item in question is likely to actually ship. Both are unknown factors for me. That and well it's hard to say if we'll get a best case scenario, medium case scenario, or a worst case scenario. Although the chances of the worse case scenario happening are extremely tiny. I guess it's a choice between "If worse comes to worse just cancel" and "There will be other chances to purchase the series".

Exactly. I'm in no rush to get X. As there is no plot to continue, it's not really something I am dying to see. There will be another Bandai sale in the future. I can be patient.

Come to think of it since there's no way certain items will be solicited until after the sale is over, patience is going to be required anyway. Assuming one is dead set on waiting for a Bandai sale before ordering anything. For me, it would be a case by case basis.
