I'm looking at ordering these from the Funimation sale on RightStuf, but I hate blind-buying without hearing some recommendations first. The main draw for me about Ghost Hunt is the author, though I know nothing of the premise. Darker than Black and Claymore interest me based on word of mouth, but I really know nothing of them either.
I like shows that focus on drama and characterization, although action mixed in is fine. What I don't want is anything that's ridiculously brutally violent. I can deal with action shows like Cowboy Bebop and X and the over-the-top violence of Hellsing, but I HATED the violence in Berserk. Recommendations? |

I'm a fan of all 3 shows, and could recommend them without any reservation, except one - Claymore is pretty violent. Alot of it is directed at non humans, or ex humans, but still violent.
Darker than Black has action scenes, but not violent, in the sense you're talking about. Ghost Hunt isn't action at all, more the detective/horror genre, so you'd be fine. |
