Post Pick of the Week

The competition this week was fairly interesting as one series that's gotten good play on Cartoon Network was ousted by a series that's gotten very little play from fans but is still being picked up because of the additional OVA included in it. At least, this is the impression you get from many talking about the Pick of the Week, Kujibiki Unbalance Vol. #3, which also contains the Genshike OVA...

I've been watching KujiUn, but I'd be lying if I didn't admit that having the Genshiken OVA episodes on the discs were not a major draw to buy the singles. Otherwise, I might have just waited for a collection, if only KujiUn were on the discs.

Still, it's not a bad show, just a little too cliched at times.

You're probably right that without Genshiken, this might not have been PotW.

Personally, I'm buying KujiUn for KujiUn. The OVA is just extra.^^ When or if I ever get around to watching is remains to be seen. The KujiUn manga was interesting at least. Granted neither it or Genshiken 2 sold spectacularly well in R2.

To be honest I have yet to bring myself to collect either Genshiken or Kujibiki Unbalance. However I find it curious that each "Pick of the Week" thread has the same exact title with no indication as to which week it's for unless you actually read the thread first.
