Default 4kids dubs that you actually liked?

I liked Pokemon when I was younger. I'm collecting the season sets now for nostalgia.

Doesn't have to be for nostalgia. It's a darn good dub, with some of Veronica Taylor's, Eric Stuart's, and (especially) Rachael Lillis's best work.

My 4Kids dub experience is limited mainly to Pokemon. I have had some exposure to YuGiOh, which I did not care for.

By far, Pokemon is the best dub out there by 4Kids. Of the other series, most of them were not so good, but had some performances I really liked. Marc Diraison made a great Zolo and Kerry Williams was enjoyable as Nami in an otherwise problematic One Piece dub that is plagued by changes in the dialogue that were uncalled for. Yu-Gi-Oh's dub was a wash, but I liked Dan Green's performance as Yami and Eric Stuart as Kaiba. And pretty much any role Lisa Ortiz does is great. She was especially great as Amy and Serenity.

Put me down with the Pokémon likers.

I haven't heard any of the Pokémon USA produced dub yet, but id be surprised if its half as good as 4kids work.

Only Pokemon.

The PUSA version's alright but I've heard that Meowth's former VA (who is a tranny btw) is bitching about how she didn't get to reprise her role and some people hate Ash's new voice.

I think Pokemon is the only 4Kids dub I have heard anything of, and not anyway near as much as most around here (I was far too old when it came around).

But it has a quality cast of NY regulars, and what I have heard of it sounded quite fine.

I did like the Pokemon dub for the earlier episodes at least. It's pretty enjoyable for me, even now.

I didn't really get to trying many of 4Kids shows, since for the most part, they don't interest me. I did watch Mew Mew Power and Magical DoReMi and liked the dubs to a certain extent. They were directed by Tom Wayland and sounded pretty decent to me, though they were sometimes problematic in script adaptation as with many 4Kids dubs.

Yeah, Pokémon had a good dub. PUSA's version is just not as good by any shot. Yu-Gi-Oh! had a number of really good voices, but overall was just above average. Shaman King was OK for what I saw.

To me the pinnacle of 4Kids dubs was Ultimate Muscle. It was fairly close to the original Japanese version content-wise, and a good number of the voices fit the show nicely and kept the comedic factor of the show intact.

OK, that's enough praising 4Kids for me... Anymore and I'll probably die from the irony.

I really just...don't understand that process. Out of curiosity I got up watched another episode of 5D's. It's really kind of sad. The dialogue isn't absolutely abysmal, we KNOW the actors are good, otherwise they wouldn't have gotten into the industry in the first place. But seriously...that is NOT how people TALK. I listen to the characters interacting and the speech just sounds SO ridiculously awkward. I just don't understand what the director is thinking when a single episode is being done.

I thought Pokemon was a really good dub (for 4Kids standards anyway). Yu-Gi-Oh got the job done, but it could have been better. Dan Green kept it alive though! He really loves his job . Most of their other dubs were lower quality, but I wouldn't be suprised that maybe one other would be decent, I just have not seen it yet. One Peice was thier masterpeice of crap. As bad as they get (at least as the worst one they did that I saw.)

But Yeh I acually liked Pokemon, and Yu-Gi-Oh was good enough for me.
