Default Netflix Anime Streaming - Dub only

I've been a subscriber for several years and I just noticed that Netflix has quite a few anime titles (free streaming). At first I was excited, but then I realized that they probably are all dub-only (I only checked a couple)...

So now I'm just luke warm. I hope they do subtitled someday...

Anyway, it appears to be anything licensed to Starz and is a selection of different company's products (GitS: SAC, GunXSword, ROD, Best Student Council, Mezzo, etc.).

I'll probably check out a few if I can stand the dubs. Otherwise, I'll just watch Heroes or CSI that just got listed.

Anyone know if Blockbuster or other rental subscription services offer streamed or downloaded anime? Just curious.

I would add the caveat Netflix streams a subtitled version when that's all that is available. (I know. Pretty obvious, right?) But I thought I would mention it since I just watched one of the Space Cruiser Yamato movies in Japanese with subtitles through Netflix's streaming service about a half-hour ago.

I like there service, I have been watching older 50 minutes OVAs, Chance Pop Session, and am watching Last Exile through it, and I have a lot more I want to watch.
Streaming is the future of anime, and here is a good place to start.

It is nice, but I'd prefer both subtitled (good to know about the limited selection available... Thanks LKK!) and downloaded. If I'm going to get on a long plane ride, streaming doesn't help me at all...

Oh well. I'll take what I can get.

At least 3 new anime have been added, Fullmetal Alchemist the Movie dubbed, Akira dubbed, and Paprika subbed.

I think Karas the Prophecy is also new but I haven't checked.

Where and how do you watch these? I don't see it on Netflix's site.

When you're logged in, click on the second tab titled "Watch Instantly" (next to "Browse DVDs"). Then click on "Genres" and then "Anime and Animation". It's been so long that I don't recall if you're required to download anything, but all in all, it's a very simple process. I've watched Air and Angelic Layer this way.

Thanks, that would explain it... I don't have an account. No wonder I couldn't find the section.

They have Air? I'm signing up right now!

Here's an updated complete list of their current anime & animation streaming lineup. Unfortunately, it looks like Air is no longer available (which probably happened once ADV lost that license). You'll need to have at least the $8.99 per month plan to qualify for unlimited Watch Instantly capability. Another thing to note is that, for certain titles, not all of the episodes are available for streaming, which forces you to rent DVD(s) to finish the series, which was the case for Air TV.
