I just need to know as I am debating on whether I should switch out the new Mospeada discs for the old discs, while keeping the new packaging.
Best Buy huh? Well they ARE known to sell bootlegs, though I have never known for sure they were selling booted anime. As for the art on the disc, mine all have art on them.

What Best Buy of yours sold bootlegs?

And I am talking about the NEW reissues, not the older releases that had artwork on the discs.

Anyway, I did not know that DL discs no longer had to be gold. Actually, I rarely buy DVDs anymore, as I put my money towards BR.

ALL Best Buys. Haven't you seen those "50 movies for $9.99" packs in the sci fi section? Those are NOT licensed boxed sets.

So then EVERYBODY sells bootlegs because everybody seems to carry those sets.

Those movie collections contain films that are in the public domain, so anybody can release them. They might be bootleg quality, but technically, they're not bootlegs.

And thus, we can end this pointless digression.
