In Summary:
The third volume of Blood+ seems to fix the pacing flaws that troubled flow through the first two discs, and these episodes settle into a really nice groove that shows off the capabilities of this story. While I do not ever see Blood+ being a title that will absolutely floor anybody, it is a really good entry into the gothic genre, and is so far a perfectly fine addition to any fan’s collection. If later episodes keep it up, it has a chance to be one of the genre’s better titles. Recommended.

Perhaps the episodes were put on disc with set #1 more in mind than singles release.

The Phantom/Vietnam arc is what ties in with Blood TLV for me.

If you know French, are the French subtitles based on B+'s English dialogue & dubtitles, or closer to the Japanese?

V1 - 3-04
V2 - 6-10
V3 - 10-21

So it's going to take another 2 years to release the rest? Are they trying to make Viz look good or something?

I bought the first volume, didn't bother with 2 and had forgotten about this series until I read this.

And would the 2nd boxset ever be released? I guess Sony Pictures just doesn't handle anime series very well...

My guess is they will not put out the part 2 box until the singles catch up. And thats still 2 more volumes away.

One would think it's pretty easy to release the single dvds since Sony basically finished production work on them when the S1 boxset came out.And yet it's a year later and they are only up to vol. 3. I'm not surprised though considering the horrible job they did with Cyborg 009.

Looks more to me like they'll make Synch-Point (the people who brought us FLCL) look good.

Hearty thanks to Discotek for licensing Shin Getter Robo Vs. Neo Getter Robo.

I'll forgive them, if the set 2 DVDs are not dubtitled, & even buy set 1 for completeness if set 2 is OK.

The release date for Vol.4 has been revealed. It's 1/27/2009. Will we get the 2nd boxset sometime in the summer of '09?
