Ok... that's not very unique, I have seen that thousands of times in the past 3 years or so.

Gah, if FUNi are going to put stuff out on Blu-Ray, why not opt for shows that were mastered in HD so they can benefit from the higher resolution?
I personally don't see the point in releasing something upscaled when you can get the DVD set for half the price and do a decent enough job using an upscaling player...
If you're listening FUNi, DTB and Mushishi on Blu-Ray please.
Until then, you're report card will read "could do better".

There is very little chance that the release date of 3/17/2009 is correct even though it says it here. There is even a buy link underneath it.

The March solicitation has came out and this wasn't included. The initial guess is that it was planned for a March release, but not shockingly it got pushed back. Look at Samurai 7 (December > January > February) and then there was the pre-solicited FullMetal Alchemist Movie (which never got past the official solicitation stage and originally rumored to be targeted as an October release). Until officially solicited, I personally would treat this release date as TBD...

Mushishi wasn't produced in HD. The Japanese Blu-ray release is an upscale.
