Default Ohayocon 2009

Ohayocon ( http://ohayocon.org/ ) posted the schedules yesterday and there's going to be a few panels. Check the website for other schedules.

I know Bermanism and bci110 mentioned they'll be going to the convention (not sure about panels).

ADV Films will be having a panel hosted by Matt Greenfield and David Williams, tomorrow, on Saturday (2 pm local time).

Anyone attending the panel, or perhaps live bloggers or reporters going?

Whoever is going please ask about Clannad, and the dub situation (hopefully ADV at least addresses this), and also why isn't there a website/promotions campaign for Clannad, etc? Details... details!

Looking at the schedule, most definitely I'm attending the FUNi Industry Panel (it'll be my first-ever industry panel). As far as the ADV panel, yes I do plan to attend it and if given the opportunity I'll ask about Clannad. But I think both Matt and David will probably say something about it anyway when they start the panel.

Can you keep us informed as to what happens at the FUNimation panel? It doesn't seem like anyone else is going there, so it'd be great to get some information.

The FUNimation panel showed a bunch of trailers for their upcoming releases -Baccano!, Afro Samurai, Shin Chan Season 2, Vandread, Shiguri, Tokyo Majin, Love Hina, and KenIchi. They also confirmed that they do have the rights to the Fullmetal Alchemist OVAs and will release them in late summer 2009 (I would guess around late August/early September). As far as Fullmetal Alchemist TV 2, they mentioned that they don't have the rights for it, but they are going to work on it. I would say that they probably will get the rights to FMA TV2 sometime by AX2009.

There was a Q&A section after the announcements, but I didn't stay for that.

I'll post about ADV when I get home later today. I need to go through my notes and jog my memory a bit.
