ADV Films and Sentai Filmwork's new anime releases: Kiba, Mahoromatic, Mahromatic: Something More Beautiful, Tsukihime, and Pet Shop of Horrors have all recently been made available for download on Xbox Live. All episodes for these series are available for download to own and follow the industry standard price on Xbox of 160 Microsoft points ($1.99) per episode. Each series contains a short sneak peak video about the series as well.

Beyond the update, this is significant in terms of news as this is the first major update ADV Films has had in about a year on Xbox Live. It is also indicative of positive developments within ADV and its digital distribution arm, Anime Network in expanding their online presence. In addition, ADV's Anime Network has recently launched a beta-website that includes a new Online Player for free streaming of anime content.

I've never really bought any shows any Xbox Live, but I may have to give it a try soon. Unfortunately, I do have most of these titles on DVD, except Pet Shop of Horrors. It's still good to see ADV popping up in more spots. I'm hoping for iTunes next.
