First off glad to see my account is still here despite the website change (yeah it's been that long, actually it says I last visited about 3 or so days before the website change was announced
).So yeah it's been a few years coming since I talked to John (Klein) about it (haha, maybe he forgot about me by now), but I finally found someone that would help me do some kind of voice/demo reel. Anyway, i'm curious about any suggestions people might have. I remember when me and John spoke the one advice that I remember was that he liked to hear at least some singing to show that you can follow beats and coordinate (so as to better show the ability to be able to match mouths when doing a dub, for instance). Oh, and that a gaggle of voices isn't as necesary than general acting chops (since that is more of a Disney thing). I know most will say "well we don't know what you excell at or what you can do, we might need to know that to give some good reccomendations, or be there with you to really feel it out", but anything would help, I've just got writers block at the moment about what to really do. It would defintely be easier if it was just an audition for something specific and had a director direct me and give me a character rundown and say "this is what we're looking for, can you do it?", haha. But aside from that, I still don't know what to put on the darn thing. |

My suggestion to you is read a bunch of voice actors websites. See what they suggest to aspireing voice actors and stuff. They useally have good suggestions, and interesting little tid bits that may help you. That's all I really have to suggest, and you probally thought of that already. I really have no idea what to put on the voice reel or anything useful like that. Sorry for not being more helpful.
Anyway good luck.
