Exact opposite problem for me. There's so many titles produced in Japan that there's far too many I'm interested in seeing licensed (whereas it's faintly possible for all -- or close to it -- of the anime I want to be licensed).

Well, I also realized I self limited my selections by only picking things that are like other series that have been licensed.
I knew I would forget things this morning, and since coming home I realized that I left off several that I would love but didn't think of at work when I posted this list.

Oh well, I'll move stuff around the first time I update the list.

Ah, nice to have this topic created. In any case, I'll hopefully have my own list posted eventually. Although it may take awhile to finalize things. Part of the challenge is I don't read as much manga or keep track of things. A lot of my choices will boil down to because I watched the anime.


That being said one of the titles, I'm thinking of including is Koi Neko, but there's just one problem with it. I searched for the title on ANN to see what the ID number was. Apparently according to ANN the series doesn't exist...

Hmm. Making a top-ten most-wanted wish list for manga is a lot harder for me than it is for anime. For one, I don’t follow scanlations, so if I’m aware of an unlicensed manga title enough to like it, the odds are I already own it or it’s a supplement to another work (that is, it doesn’t stand on its own—like the four or so versions of the Little Busters! Manga). Also, I’m unlikely to re-buy a title just because it gets published in English, if I already own it in serial or tankoubon form. The other main problem is the reason I buy titles in Japanese is because the content is too “controversial” for it to get licensed for an English release (Viz will never license To-Loveる and Del Rey will never license Umisho or Kiss×sis) or it’s too niche (pretty much any manga based off of a light novel or a visual novel). So with that said, here is my dream list of titles I (mostly) already own in Japanese but wouldn’t mind seeing an English version (pending who publishes it and how they go about it).
