In Summary:

Hayate Ayasaki must be the most unlucky character in anime. While there have been other unlucky characters, the upshot has always been that their bad luck was actually an asset. That's not the case for Hayate. While the humor is entirely at his expense, Hayate himself continues to try to make the best of it, part of the reason why the humor never seems excessively mean. I continue to recommend this show if you've been enjoying the manga, or enjoy a nice light comedy without any complicated things to think about such as plot or serious character development.
