Yeah, I glanced briefly at Vol. 1, saw some random guy claiming to be Kyon despite looking nothing like him, and decided this was a no-go. I'll stick with the anime DVDs and light novels.

Yeah i felt the same way. However I'd give the artwork a D at best. To me the only nice thing about volume 1 was the preview of the light novel at the back. And like Doom85 said i too will stick to the anime and light novels.

No kidding! Was that really Kyon? He looks less like Kyon and more like a Keiichi (Ah my Goddess)/ Keitaro (Love Hina) hybrid.
Being a Haruhi sucker I now own the first 3 volumes. The art does improve I suppose. Maybe I'm just getting used to this "Kyon."

Also, the manga isn't $14.99 MSRP it's $10.99. (The novel is $14.99 I think.)
