Magic Knight Rayearth: Season 1 Collection (Litebox / Remastered) due out on 4/27/10 (Was 1/26/10 (Was 10/27/09)).



Contains episodes 1-20.

This remastered version offers: slimmer Packaging, digitally remastered from original film elements, all missing sections restored, new menus and added slate track.

This would be fine art. So is this the remastered version JS mentioned a while back? If so maybe, but Rayearth just isn't my favorite Clamp animation adaptation.

This is the same artwork as the economy collections. Like Loveless it remains to be seen if only the change is the packaging. In any case I will pass on this as I own the economy collections.

That's what I was wondering about, but I thought it would be priced higher. The SRP is $39.99 for this first collection.

That's what I thought. Or for sure there would be some mention of it in the release or on the box (though artwork can change). If it's not it seems to be an odd time to release it after the guy in charge mentioned a remaster may be in the works.

Curiouser and curiouser. The quote would lead one to believe that this isn't the remaster unless they drastically reduced the price from what they were thinking. But doing a rerelease of the series and making sure that the cheaper set is available with a re-master still possibly (unless they changed their minds after more thought) in the future..... Seems Dragonball/Dragonboxish to me.

That would be Mokona, and this is where he/she's from. Just another show of how CLAMP likes to play with crossovers from its own titles. Series one of MKR plays like an RPG, so if you like those, you might enjoy this series. Series two is when it really gets interesting, though.

I've got the economy box with this same art already, so I have no need for this collection. Unless it's remastered, which I can't decipher from Sirabella's post at all.
