Well, let's see if this cover will remain. I should watch this someday.

Remastered?! Crap, I just bought the complete collection not too long ago (but haven't watched it yet). Well, if it's really remastered, I might just double-dip and give the older set to my sister. Still waiting on Utena, though.

So is this remastered like Berserk-remastered where the only discernible difference was the original Japanese credits in the visual presentation? Or remastered as in a side by side comparison would show glaringly obvious improvements?

It'll be the latter. According to John, the difference is "night and day".

I'm kind of curious of this improvement myself. Regardless, I will probably stay until I start watching this series in my backlog.

If that's true then I'll definitely be double dipping for both seasons.

Wow, if that's the truth, I can't wait for the screenshot comparisons for conviction.

Oh, and I'm sure this has been asked a bunch of times but my memory isn't serving me well right now... What's a litebox look like? Is it basically a brick?

I think it's a single-sized keepcase that can hold all the discs, like Simoun.

It's a 14mm (standard) case, that holds up to 6 discs. Go to the StackPak vs Litebox thread in the R1 forum. I posted pictures of the two. IIRC, it's post number 20.

Ah, OK, thanks. I guess it isn't really bad packaging, although I would prefer thinpaks myself. StackPaks look terrible.
