I liked the steelcase special edition version much better.

Is this only being released to Blu-Ray, or will there be an eventual DVD release?

It already has a dvd version anime legends set that was released by Bandai recently.

I don't believe there has been a 2.0 BD SteelBook release for this from any country. I could be wrong though...

Ghost in the Shell 2.0 is not the same as Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence (if that's what you meant).

No it doesn't actually. Those dvds are of the original version of the film. This is for the recent 2.0 version (it has a lot of added CGI and the dialogue has been re-recorded) and I don't think they've announced a dvd release for it yet.

IMO, you should watch the original version first.
