Stuff like that bothers me, although I realize language is fluid and, in this area, I'm a bit conservative. The worst offender though was Ragnarok Online. Where the class was "priest" regardless of gender.

I don't see any issues with "Wizard" being used for females, its not really a gendered term like Witch or Warlock.

Which is a good thing since I kind of liked having Myriam under the "Wizard" class when playing through Romancing SaGa that one time. Actually, I think "Wizard" has been used for females before in general. Never mind the fact I can't come up with examples.

[1] See Harry Potter or D&D, among many others. [2]You can see this contrast as late as the 1950s in the Wizard of Oz. [3]What's interesting is this form would not have been coined of "wizard" was not associated with [male] for at least some speakers.

I couldn't decide if I like Natsu's voice or not. One moment its rough and deep, the next its "Luffy" like. Lucy is love as always. As for Lucky, like everyone said, we need to get him some TACOS ASAP!!!
Good first episode, like how they expanded the fight from the manga, the animation was good also.

Episode 1:
- Heh, why does it seem like only the shounen action shows get the Japanese hardsubbed OPs no broadcast? - I'm already half dreading the two mascot characters though. Here's hoping they're a lot better than they look. - ...!!! It's The Kugimiya. Well, that should make at least one of them tolerable. - HIRANO AAAAAAAAAYAAAAAAAAAAAAA! Looooove. - Oh wow, decidedly not the voice I expected for Natsu. I completely anticipated some slightly annoying Naruto/Black Star voice. Instead it's... Simon! (And Fujioka, lol.) Much better, and hopefully means theres potential for him to get pretty epic later on. - Note to self: This show is not that well animated. Maybe they're saving budget for action scenes? - Time to explain the world over lunch! - Heh, Lucy is fantastic. - I just noticed she carries a whip around... - Oh that dress does very nice things for her. <3 - "Lucy, listen." "What?" "My transformation ran out." ![]() - Hahaah, and she just happened to fall where her keys landed. Of course! - Hah, Lucy's summons aren't all that cooperative. - Oh gooood, Natsu is pretty fucking awesome. Kakihara Tstsuya is going to be perfect, clearly. Lucy ED~ That was a heck of a lot of fun.

Perhaps against my better judgment, I decided to go ahead and start watching this series. I read the first 3-4 chapters of the manga a while back and it didn't do much for me, but I decided to give the anime a chance anyway.
It's hard to say much about Natsu right now, but at least he's not annoying. Lucy looks to be a solid female lead. It gives me great pleasure to listen to Rie Kugimiya's voice as Happy, which is probably the part that most makes me want to continue. A decent first episode overall.

People standing on magical circles is kind of classic.
Looks like they're introducing people. I like the look of the girl with white hair in the red dress. Lucy is getting to learn what Fairy Tail is truly like. Scary Old Man, but clearly important. Lucy gets a stamp on her hand. Now I'm suddenly reminded of those places that do it to children. Speaking of children, just what we needed. A sad little boy. To an area filled with snow we go. Lucy shall summon a clock! She shall put herself inside it. A random monster appears and wants the clock. Or maybe he wants Lucy. Probably the latter. Either way the clock vanishes. Natsu to the rescue by sliding and falling. A bull(?) with an axe gets summoned by Lucy. Natsu decides to defeat Lucy's Summon. And now the random monster has the axe. The time has come to use fire. Ah, it was someone either turned into a monster or possessed by one. I should have figured it would be someone that the boy from earlier knew. The scene just before the preview is kind of cute.

Another very fun episode. I just loved how Lucy was freaking out with the way everyone at Fairy Tail were getting into fights with each other and how Mirajane was saying that was normal. Mirajane is pretty hot too, but my heart still belongs to Lucy. Anyways, the master of the house is an old man who is scarier than he looks. Lucy also becomes a member of Fairy Tail, yay!
Natsu goes off to look for Romeo's father out in some snowy mountain region, but he's not very good with transportation. He's already weak to trains, boats, and carriages. What's next, airships? Lucy has some pretty weird but amusing summons. I couldn't help but laugh at how the Vulcan and her bull creature were both attracted to her. Natsu clearly isn't the brightest person in Fairy Tail but him attacking Lucy's summon was funny. In the end he manages to kick the Vulcan's butt in awesome fashion. Although it's a little weird that Natsu was raised by a dragon. I'm really liking the ED animation, it reminds me a lot of Hayate season 2's first ED. The next episode promises maid Lucy. Once again, very fun and enjoyable episode, and the show is only two episodes in but I'm really looking forward to watching it.

Lucy needs to get herself some more reliable summons.
And when are we going to meet the armor girl?
