The cover art looks all right. I'm more curious of what the Vol.1 entails.

I don't know what it is, but there is something about this cover that doesn't catch me as much as the DVD version...maybe it's the character's proximity?

Yeah, it's interesting that the Blu-ray says 'Volume One' but the DVD says 'Part One'. Hope we get a solicitation for this soon.

EDIT: Maybe it has to do with the fact that 8 episodes (which this release was originally supposed to be) will fit on a single Blu-ray, but would require two DVDs. 'Volume' sort of suggests a single disc, whereas I can't think of any R1 anime release labeled as 'Part' whatever that contained fewer than two discs.

I like the dvd art better, but I may get this just because it is BD

Yeah, me too. Although honestly I really do want to watch this series. It has some incredibly animated fight scenes from what I've seen. But the fact that it's an America BD release also clinches it.

Yea the use of "vol. 1" is rather disheartening to me.

Heh so the DVD is a zoomed out R2 cover, and the BD is a zoomed in R2 cover. UI have the DVD ordered since forever ago, but I'm thinking of just canceling that and getting the BD, if the price is the same. Or maybe I'll just wait for a BD collection later on.

I'm totally getting the BDs, simply because the final battle will be utterly amazing on BD.
