Default Early Review- Linebarrels of Iron: Part 1

With all the computer problems and then the holiday season it's been awhile since I've had time to do an early review, but I'm back.

Linebarrels was an interesting show (more than the super generic mech show I was expecting anyways).

Packaging will no doubt drive hardcore fans INSANE though.

I equate FUNimation packaging quality to the Wal-Mart principle - cheaper than the rest, but you get what you pay for. In this case I'll probably just hold out for the inevitable Blu-ray release.

This doesn't sound so much like it's "cheap", rather it sounds like the person who designed the case was either lazy or not very knowledgeable of the series.

And heck when I saw the box art I even thought Linebarrels was a 12 ep series and not a full 26, there's nothing there to tell me otherwise.

mine showed up today from TRS. Haven't watched it but I noticed it didn't come with the mouse pad like it says it does if you preorder it. Oh well...

I realized it wasn't 12 when near the VERY end of episode 12, something big happens 'after' the episode, and then a next episode preview.

It really seemed like 11 was 'the end', with open ended potential for more, and 12 was a bonus DVD only type episode until the very end.

I got mine on Sat. it came with the mousepad. Linebarrels is a dumb fun anime. Just like Dragonaut.
