In the past, this was usually a quick way to figure out which titles were available in store, and which ones weren't.

Now, you will have to check the in-store pickup, or count the amount of numbers in the sku. 8 digit skus will be online only, while 7 digit skus will be available in some stores. I noticed this when checking on the first Golgo 13 collection.

Thanks for the heads-up. I thought that's what happened with the SKU. Golgo 13 would make sense since it also have the security label/sticker that's on top (at least it comes to the Sentai releases).
Yeah, I've noticed those have been getting dropped from a lot of releases lately. I picked up a few DVDs from Walmart that we didn't have in our "in store" assortment and noticed that many of them did not come with security labels on them. Too be honest though, they do very little to deter theft. Thieves are getting smarter all the time, so they are pretty much useless anyway.

Also, I should point out that Best Buy still takes a long time to decide what titles will be carried in store or not. It can take up to three weeks before the street date before a sku is altered to allow "in store" sales and the extra digit is dropped. I noticed this has been happening a lot with anime releases lately, regardless of who they are from. So you may have to check back on some shows.

It makes it quite hard to plan my purchasing.

Went back to the same BB location and picked up Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherood Part 1. They have not even put up sale signs as some of you mentioned.

Gave the customer service rep the new UPC for Gundam Seed Destiny: Final Plus since I didn't find any at the first 3 BB locations. He found two BB locations with tons of copies each so I'll hit one of them early next week. I guess those copies are allocated selectively.

Picked up Negima?! at my BB location. Yup, none of them were labeled properly, but the correct marked down price came up, so I'm good.

Another person who also picked up FMA: Brotherhood Part 1 Blu-ray set (ordered through the online store) - currently pondering on putting in another order for Strike Witches, School Rumble Season 2, and Heroic Age Blu-ray set.

EDIT: Decided to go ahead and pick up the Black Lagoon Season 1 & 2 and Baccano! Complete Collection boxsets.

From what I know is going to happen to our media departments, what I've seen of the new store layouts, and the rumors I've heard from management and corporate, those price points make me nervous. They look almost like clearance prices. However, most of these weren't strong sellers, so funi may just be using Best Buy to liquidate stock.
