Ikkitousen returns with its 4th season and this time its going head-to-head against Shin Koihime Musou! Adding Bachou (voiced by the lovely Endou Aya) to the cast will certainly help.

First 5 minutes are a recap of Ikkitousen and Ikkitousen DD, which ends with Hakufu and Ryoubi in dragon form combining to defeat Sou Sou. But of course Sou Sou survives Are they just going to skip over GG as if it never existed?

The rest of the episode introduces Bachou, who is single-handedly attacking Kyoushou to avenge her brother whom she believes was attacked by Sou Sou. Bachou is funny and uses jam bread to pad her chest! We are also introduced to 2 of Sou Sou's underlings, Soujin (Saitou Chiwa!) and Kyocho. Kyocho is a big and quiet girl, but talking bad about Sou Sou makes her really angry, and you won't like her when she's angry. Bachou gets beaten up, though Kyocho really isn't trying to hurt her. Bachou collapses in the rain and meets with Gentoku Ryuubi of course!

Oh wait, the ED animation shows Sonken and the female Saji, so this is taking place after GG after all...

Since this show is on AT-X, plenty of fanservice with Bachou, including some very nice eyecatches.

Eh... none for the moment, unless you want to count the ongoing joke that is Kanu's lust for Ryuubi, which didn't appear in this episode.

It is said that this takes place before GG, so I am guessing we will get ecchi scenes only on dvd like the first series.

It looks like it takes place after it. In GG, Sou Sou and Kakouton were considered missing, and Kakouton having lost his memories as well.

Pretty cool first ep. Mouki is of course a perfect substitute for Hakufu, need more of her in situations resembling the eyecatches.

Thought the ED could have been better, but I will let it off for featuring the real Saji and also Chuubou. ^_^ Looking forward to the rest of the show!

Relatively amusing episode with a great end finish thanks to Hakafu's first appearance.

Still trying to decide whether Bachou is the Wesley/Dawn of Ikkitousen...
