Default Blue Drop English Dub

Per Anime Network's YouTube Channel:

Quote:
Thanks for the feedback! Blue Drop's dub (feat. Monica Rial & Hilary Haag!) will be released this fall. Stay tuned to Anime Network for more updates on future dubs!"
http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=animenetwork

Since they are being mentioned prominently, I assume they are the leads. So I would guess Hilary as Mari Wakatake and Monica as Hagino Senkoji.

If true, this is pretty awesome. They were actually the two VA's I was thinking would be good for these roles. I'm pretty excited for this one now!

I smell a Greenfield dub. /cross fingers . Please let it be true . I want to hear more dubs by him. I was thinking this might be something he'd direct when they first annoucned it would be dubbed.

Anyway this is a show I'm interested in. Looks pretty good. One of their newly dubbed shows I WILL be buying for sure . Can't wait to hear who else is in the cast.

I enjoyed Blue Drop, and I think this would be right just the type of show that Greenfield could direct a great dub. However, since he was never mentioned in the press release for the Sentai dubs, I'm not too optimistic about it. But I would gladly be proven wrong!

In case he does direct it, it's just another reason for me to buy this!

Well I'm just thinking he's directing it because he said he was "working on dubs" way back when. Course that doesn't mean he's directing anything. But Dragoon seemed to hint otherise (again probably reading too much into this), that neo-ADV would be using Foster and Greenfield for these dubs. Plus this seems like the type of show he'd direct. Also I just have a feeling he's doing this, not sure why. It's just a feeling.

Don't mind me though. Just blind speculation on my part. I'm probably wrong.

Yeah, when I read the press release, I had a strong feeling he would be directing the dub for Blue Drop. It just seems like the type of show he would be perfect for. I'm just trying to keep my expectations in check.

Though it has been a LONG while since we had an English dubbed yuri title since Kannazuki no Miko.

That is true. And I think Blue Drop is a much better show. Kannazuki no Miko wasn't a terrible show, but there were some large portions of it that were a complete train wreck. The only redeeming quality was the relationship between the two girls.

And both shows were pretty much running side by side on Anime Network on Demand. Kannazuki no Miko (dubbed) just ended about 10 days ago, while Blue Drop has two more episodes to go for it's initial subtitled run.

True, and I did enjoy both for the most part. But there was just something about Kannazuki that just didn't sit right with me. It left me feeling very conflicted about the show as a whole. I kept thinking though, that it could have been better if it had been a 26 episode series. A lot of the problems with it for me seemed to be how rushed the storyline felt.
