Figure Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu would not have sold much and i really like the show.
Going have to find summaries for the second part of the novels.

Amagami SS numbers don't look to bad , hopefully we get more shows done in it's format .

Assuming there will be a lot left over after the anime ends (I assume there is) and that the anime doesn't try to cut things off with a conclusive ending (may or may not), yeah, I don't think we can count on seeing more.

But, as usual, maybe the anime has led to a big bump in the novel sales, which in and of itself could justify more being animated. Hardly guaranteed though... 1k + handful of DVDs is pretty harsh and it's just going to get worse from here, so it probably wouldn't be worth funding a second season especially since it's already two cour.

I definitely don't want this format to become common (it's already ruined the other show that's tried it since) so I'm a bit mixed on Amagami doing decently, I guess. It's an okay show (I need to catch up and watch the Ai arc) though.

BTW please use "quote" when replying in this thread rather than 'Post Reply" so that your subject line keeps the date and people know what week it's about.

I also hope the Omnibus format doesn't take off... it just promotes mediocrity. Don't want to offend any fanbase? Omnibus! Can't be stuffed combining routes? Omnibus! Want to do a cliffnotes version of each arc? Omnibus! Lack the balls to choose a "winning" heroine? Omnibus!

I don't mind it every now and than but I would hate, hate, hate for it to becomd standard.

Oh yeah Macross Frontier Movie sales, because noones buying this for a glorified demo.

Well from what I hear Densetsu's 13 or whatever novels are to set the stage for what is to come after.. maybe like a band of the hawks for Berserk which is a massive story in it's own right but just a cog that sets everything into place.

Yeah Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu the anime should have a ending but that's just part of a bigger story .The second set of novels is where the main story starts.

For Omnibus format it's not like i want it to be standard ,still change every now and then not bad .

While I'm finding DenYuuDen entertaining enough, I'm 99% positive I'd enjoy it more as novels.

I've always preferred to read my epic fantasy.

Yeah that's what I thought, was thinking of reading a certain thread again but didn't want to risk reading spoilers. So even though the sales are bad that they would never animate a second series, it's not like it's going to be finished anytime soon in the first place to allow it to get animated.

Well, guess we'll have to wait until the Dragon Age anime to see if someone can finally get it right this time...

Ha yeah, something like that. At least now that I have a kindle I don't have to cart a bunch of paperbacks around.

Default Let's Test the Manabi Line

Can anyone find data on Aoi Hana's sales? Since Fuji TV has gone on record stating that poor sales prohibit a second season, this would be a good comparison.
