Hey, someone should bring these books out in the US. Bunch them up into regular length novels, stick them in the Fantasy section and they'll sell.

Only if they put naked wolf women on the cover.

Weren't there some odd circumstances with the manga getting canned, like it was still popular but not with the intended crowd or something?

It's lonely being one of the ~850 people on Earth who bought that show on BD (I'm 1 in 7.5 million. Woot!). But not as lonely as the people who bought Aoi Hana, I suppose.

You can feel a tiny bit less lonely; there are at least two of us on this very forum!

Between that, Campanella, and a number of others over the years, I'm pretty certain that I'm globally unique at this point.

Yeah, but did you buy H20? I did. I wouldn't be surprised if it sold worse than both of those.

I'm buying Campanella. On the other hand, you're not buying Ookami. It's like I don't even know you anymore...

You may be right; it doesn't look like any of the 6 volumes charted at all. Still, I liked that show...

Yeah, I know... it got cut due to the dollar, and the fact that the show went on a few too many detours for my taste. But who knows... if I see it on special, I might go for it. If it's selling that poorly, somehow it feels wrong not to buy it...

Preliminary 30.

Basara 2 Vol. 2 starts at 11,532.

And that's all there really was this week, besides Katanagatari doing the usual numbers.

Full list.

Summer updates:
New show - Shiki ....606/*** for 606. ;_; Congratulations, you're the lowest selling Summer show. Officially anyway, no way to know how many DVDs moved but it was less than 1,004. It needs to have moved at least ~900 DVDs to have passed the estimated Vol. 1 sales for Shukufuku no Campanella (1000 BD + approx 500 DVD). 900 seems very unlikely, honestly. Oh well. I still think I may end up buying it if I can hurry up and catch up on it.

Amagami SS Vol. 1 increases to 6,296. Didn't pass Yakuindomo in the end but it's close. And I dunnno it could technically chart again, maybe.

I'm really surprised, but Densetsu no Yuusha no Densetsu charted again. 401 more BDs for 1,480 total. Shows don't usually do 40% of their first week sales in the second week. Still a pittance overall but whatever. It does pass Mitsudomoe and Ookami-san.

Strike Witches 2 Vol. 2 increases by 1,467 to 14,515.

Seitokai Yakuindomo Vol. 6 starts at 3,975/1,596 for 5,571.

Seikimatsu Occult Gakuin Vol. 2 enters at 1,821 BDs and no DVD ranking. That's a drop of almost 1000 off Vol. 1 but Vol. 1 charted twice.

Sekirei ~Pure Engagement~ Vol. 3 does 3,572/2,285 for 5,857.

Our DVD-only series like Working, Drrr, Kuroshitsuji and Hakuouki are continuing to do their standard numbers.

Spring updates:
Angel Beats! Vol. 5 enters at 17,956/9,225 for 27,181.
K-ON!! update time. It's a bigger release week so we don't see all the old volumes up again (thank goodness, too much updating!) but 4 charts and so does 3.
!! Vol 1: 42,433 (12 wk)
!! Vol 2: 39,247 (*9 wk)
!! Vol 3: 38,299 -> 38,747 (*7 wk)
!! Vol 4: 32,863 -> 36,342 (*2 wk)

OVAs, Movies, Boxsets etc:
To Aru Kagaku no Railgun OVA starts at 20,639/8,306 for for 28,945, which puts it about 2k ahead of the best to-date sales for one of the TV volumes. Passing 30k next week, easily.
Hidamari Sketch x ☆☆☆ Specials did 6,284/3,536 for 9,820 so it's the best selling volume so far and I think it will be the first Hidamari release to pass 10k, yay (but I didn't check).
Serial Experiments Lain BD Box does 3,742, quite respectable for a BD box. Also seems to be totally sold out at Amazon so they probably went through most of their initial pressing. MSRP was fairly low though so gross is ¥102.2m. Still good though. [Edit: Oh hey it's back in stock actually. Amazon was reading 1-2 months availability as of a few days ago.]

Full list.

Summer updates:
As mentioned, Basara 2 Vol. 2 starts at 11,532.

Kuroshitsuji II Vol. 2 adds 1,475 to pass 10k in its second week with 10,046. Only like 3 less than Vol. 1, clearly stable sales here.

Seitokai Yakuindomo Vol. 6 increases to 5,571.

Sekirei ~Pure Engagement~ Vol. 3 increases 415 to 6,758.

Things look pretty bad for Seikimatsu Occult Gakuin. Vol 1 did 2,713 BDs in two weeks (2,334 first week), then Vol. 2 drops to 1,821 and doesn't even chart its second week with only a 407 threshold? Being perhaps overly generous and assuming it just missed at 400, it's still looks pretty eh. I blame a crappy ending (well, that kept it down by one [me] at least).

Spring updates:
Angel Beats! Vol. 5 increases to 30,514 with 2,119/1,214. I'll do a list like it for K-ON!! since it's also selling highly, even if it's dropping off faster and not having as much sales longevity (but, almost nothing does, to be fair. 4 weeks making the charts is better than most). Brackets are percent drop off Vol. 1, which I'll probably only do this one week because it'd be a pain to maintain if early !! vols keep coming back to chart. And they will.
AB! Vol 1: 40,442 (*4 wk)
AB! Vol 2: 35,483 (*4 wk) [-12.3%]
AB! Vol 3: 33,251 (*4 wk) [-17.8%]
AB! Vol 4: 31,782 (*4 wk) [-21.4%]
AB! Vol 5: 27,181 -> 30,514 (*2 wk) [-24.5%]

K-ON!! update, just Vol. 4 this time.
!! Vol 1: 42,433 (12 wk)
!! Vol 2: 39,247 (*9 wk) [-7.5%]
!! Vol 3: 38,747 (*7 wk) [-8.7%]
!! Vol 4: 36,342 -> 37,181 (*3 wk) [-12.4%]

Pretty impressive stability on K-ON!!'s part when you consider Vol. 1 has charted 9 more times than Vol. 4, which has only been out 3 weeks and will probably close the gap down to about 9% difference in a month or so. Maybe less. Eventually, I expect Vol. 2 to pass 40k, maybe even Vol. 3. Depends how much of a crazy long tail we get with those weeks where they just keep adding ~250 copies each.

OVAs, Movies, Boxsets etc:
To Aru Kagaku no Railgun OVA increases by 2,663/1,738 to 33,346, easily smashing 30k. Yay.
Hidamari Sketch x ☆☆☆ Specials add 833 BDs for 10,653. Yay! Turns out it's not the first to hit 10k, since the first disc of x365 hit 10,026. But it's the best selling!
Serial Experiments Lain BD Box adds 727 to 4,469.

Not much else to say this week!
