The vengeful firefighter was Arrow's version of the villian Firefly.  He was the weak link in the episode.

I had no problem with them twisting the story of Firefly (the DC version - GI Joe's is still better!) and telling it this way. What I DID have a problem with is the same thing that's been happening all season: Introduce a "name" villain and then kill them off in one episode. I don't understand the point of bringing in a recognizeable character only to get rid of them immediately. Right now, we have Merlyn and Deathstroke as "name" villains that have shown up and not been killed so far, but at this rate, he's going to have run through an entire Rogues Gallery by season's end.

so when are they going to change the name of the show to "hood"? ridiculous...

I think a version of GA in the comics has a hood?

I don't know viti. I just think it's too bad they feel they need to delay calling him by name. like that will be the end of the show or something. it was so frustrating, among other things, whenever they called Clark "the blur" in smallville. I just hope this isn't long term.

they already hinted in one episode to calling him Green Arrow. I thought the entire Firefly thing was a joke. Seriously. It was lame to say the least. And Firefly was an arsonist for hire, not some revenge driven fireman gone mad. Stupid, like the way they are developing Oliver though.

Need to get more into him being a superhero though. Enough of this Batman like vigilante crap, Arrow is a hero. Also. Please WB, PLEASE GOD WB, get an idea from Smallville's GA and get him a set of glasses, googles, or a mask of some kind. This hood crap is stupid and annoying. AND as stupid as the glasses thing for Clark.

There is a very good reason they don'y call him Arrow, Green Arrow or any combination of the two...

At this point it's just not that important to Ollie and although I never really got into Smallville, someone just calling themself Superman sounds a bit ig headed, I think the Green Arrow moniker will be used by the press in the second season when the press realise there are two of them...

That said , I am in total agreement that he should come out of the shadows as the city's protector.

I have a feeling that he will go with both a domino mask AND a fake goatee when he becomes the Green Arrow too...
