He's not blonde. He doesn't wear a mask to protect his identity...and ummm...stick to the character. He looks like a reject from GQ or Twilight. There are no other DC characters or villains in the trailer. Apparently, DC has learned nothing after cancelling Smallville..."Arrow" in stead of "GREEN Arrow"? Really?

Oh well, depending on which night it comes on I'll probably watch it. Seeing that 'The River' and 'The Finder' have been cancelled...yeah, sux. 'Fringe' has gotten pretty lame and 'House' will end tonight so those nights are now free.

Also, seeing that many are saying it has Nolan influence, don't expect any crazy supernatural villains showing up...ever. Still, here's hoping that Black Canary pops in to save the show and it's ratings about mid-season.

Smallville had lots of cameos in the show from DC characters through out the series. Even a two part Justice League episode and Legion of Super Heroes showed up in and episode. So why would anybody think cameos wouldn't happen in this show? Seems like a lot of blind hate. And oh yea, Marvel doesn't have any live action TV series so what's to learn? DC's last series lasted 10 years. That's success. If anything, DC has layed out a road map of do's and don't because they dared to be first in TV shows. I like that they at least try.

Justin Hartley owned the role and was a better look to the character.  Least he wore something over his eyes and only thing missing was the goatee.

Stupid o well.

It looks okay, nothing more. DC continually makes unnecessary changes that piss off the fans. Give him the Oliver Queen style facial hair, a mask, call it Star City and call it GREEN ARROW!

It's like DC/Warner is ashamed of their comic characters so they make changes to them to make them more palatable. If Avengers is any indicator, we like our comics characters mostly translated verbatim from the books. DC/Warner still doesn't get that and that's why they are lagging far behind Marvel in the live entertainment medium (Except Batman, of course.). It could be okay, given that it's basically Nolan's Batman but with Green Arrow. But I doubt this will last.

Still, it looks better than Wonder Woman did.

Hmmm. Could be good. I'll check out the first episode or 2.

Looks like a bunch of shatty acting, cheesy cheep scenes, low budget... AND no action until the las 5 minutes of the show.. I already wasted 10 years of my life on SMALLVLLE.. i cant do it again.. Im getting too old for this shit...

Not sure why so many people are upset with changes.  What it does if broaden the appeal to a non-comic book audience.  If these series was based strictly on the DC universe, who long do you really think that this show would last in production?  Wouldn't even have made it past the pilot I bet.

Given the choice, would you rather a true DC universe Green Arrow for one season, or an 'Arrow' series ongoing?

Wiseguy 5/21/2012 4:02:10 PM

One season

Graebeard 5/22/2012 5:04:11 AM

I have to agree with Wiseguy ... one season!

OmegaDean 5/22/2012 10:29:57 AM

@ The General: One Season.

What i find interesting is how people make statement make it more appealing or broaden the audience base. Completely stupid in my opinion. Movies like the Avengers... TV shows like Fringe, and Grimm and so show that people like a good dose of fantasy.  There are enough law and orders and CSI shows on the air for the ones who want some reality. Give me my comic book heroes un-diluted and let me enjoy the beauty of it all. Respect the source material and make a good show dammit
