Ashley Tisdale Fights Aliens from UPSTAIRS

Ashley Tisdale (High School Musical) will be one of the teens taking on aliens in the sci-fi-comedy They Came From Upstairs, says the Hollywood Reporter. The trade says the actress has been cast in the film, which will be her first, from 20th Century Fox. She joins fellow cast members Robert Hoffman, Carter Jenkins, Austin Butler, Ashley Boettcher, Henri & Regan Young. Barry Josephson is set to produce the flick while John Schultz is directing, based on a screenplay by Mark Burton and Adam F. Goldberg. Production begins at the end of January in New Zealand.

Plot Concept: Story revolves around a group of teens who team up to defend their Maine vacation home from aliens who have invaded via the upstairs.

They Came From Upstairs will hit theaters January 16, 2009.

I�ve always suspected that one of Walt Disney�s final acts was to build a laboratory under Epcot center where they could genetically engineer and grow these kids from the cells of Annette Funicello.

It�s the only explanation I can think of for all these teeny-bopper girls popping up like weeds for the last few years.

Sigh, the only thing that could save this movie would be if it was R rated and done entirely in the nude. Alas, not.
