The promotional campaign for the second season of the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya is continuing right along and the ASOS Brigade has a new video out today as the characters visit Bang Zoom Entertainment. The question about who would be playing the parts is cleared up nicely on this visit as we learn that the original cast from season one will be returning to reprise the primary character roles. You can check out past ASOS Brigade videos at Bandai's YouTube channel here.

(On the phone...) Yes, Animal Control.  There are these three rabid dogs at my office.  You think you could get rid of them, please?

(On the phone...) Hello, pest control? Hectotane's posts are infecting the anime section of Can you please send over an exterminator?

And while you're at it, insaneben, be sure to look up any news about a cockroach that's off its leash and mauling people by their necks.  Because, amongst instances caused by pit bulls, that's considered rare.

  • Badly written fanfiction in animated form.  (Last I checked, we're not suppose to prioritize bad fanfictioin.)
  • Horrible character development.  Some Godly Mary-Sue, a spineless and empty no-name self-insert, on down.
  • The show that reeks of Evangelion (which is basically the loser cousin of 1st Gundam).
  • And how popular would that show be if the animation was done by a company with lower standards than KyotoAnime & Kadokawa?
  • That's Haruhi's Melancholy.  That's CLANNAD.  That's 85~90% of anime for the past two decades starting with Urusei Yatsura.

Finally; the last person who said "Anything can happen in anime" is filled with bull.  Unless KyotoAnimu and Kadokawa redo the first episodes where Kyon slugs the Godly Smugness off of Haruhi's face before telling her his real name, the next two decades of animu will not be worth everyone else's time.  :(

Hectotane: "Blah, blah, blah, I hate anime, blah, blah, blah, my opinion is absolute, blah, blah, blah...."
