Thanks for the review - I JUST got a PS3 and haven't bought a game yet so it was timely. OH wait - am I going to get flamed for just buying a PS3 now?

This was one of the games I was actually really dissapointed with. The hype over this game was really high and when I went to play it I felt let down by everyone else's opinions. The gameplay is ok at best and the overrall story gets screwed up with the back and forth of the plot. I would give this title a C but I also think, that if you want to play it, rent it first and save yourself the $60.

I've considered renting it, but on that note too I want to wait until the rental price drops. That's kind of what I was looking for, Tim. Is the game so stunning that one can get over big hang-ups and still enjoy it. Example - I dislike FPS style gaming. I really dislike it. But I love the Halo series. I'm not sold, but I'm leaning further to trying it.

Merin It's true you play an assassin, but interestingly enough, there is a very strong sense of honor in the whole thing. Think of it as playing a Lawful Evil character. Trying to not give away too much, but your character has to redeem himself in the eyes of his order because he has slipped so low. There are lessons to be learned, correct ways of doing things, even for someone in the profession he is in. I think you'll enjoy it if you concentrate more on the narrative of the story instead of the acts you sometimes take..

Merin, if you do not like FPS then I think you should definatly try this game out. Maybe because I am so used to FPS games that I was unphased by this games control and story... But everyone likes different games, you dig? So, I would still try it out, there are much worse games out there to try- Ex: Two Worlds!
