'Astro Boy' has a new director, according to today's Variety.
David Bowers, of 'Flushed Away' fame, replaces Colin Brady on the $50 million CG-animated adaptation of Osamu Tezuka's manga and anime icon.
The movie goes out of Imagi Studios, who brought us the energetic 'TMNT' last year, and is also underway on the CG-animated 'Gatchaman' movie.
'Astro Boy' is due out in 2009 with Warner Bros. Pictures and the Weinstein Co. releasing it.
