Not bad looking, but not sure if I really care. I haven't ever really gotten into anime, manga, etc...

The folks at Cinematical treated webizens to the first look at the new trailer for the CGI feature film 'Astro Boy'.
The movie, based on Osamu Tezuka's manga 'Tetsuwan Atomu' and the numerous anime incarnations that have followed, is currently in production with Imagi International and tentatively due for an October 23, 2009 release.
The film features an all-star cast including the voices of Academy Award-winning actor Nicolas Cage ('The Ant Bully'), Kristen Bell ('Assassin's Creed') Donald Sutherland ('Final Fantasy: The Spirits Wthin'), Nathan Lane ('The Lion King'), Bill Nighy ('Flushed Away') and Eugene Levy ('Over the Hedge') with Freddie Highmore ('The Golden Compass') in the title role. David Bowers ('Flushed Away') is directing 'Astro Boy' from a screenplay written by Timothy Harris ('Trading Places', 'Kindergarten Cop'), with Maryann Garger producing.

More of a teaser than a trailer. Not much to it. I'm with evilbeagle. I don't think I really care about this movie one way or the other.
(Oh look, a positive comment!) I like the look of it. Astro looks a lot like the original cartoon. I'm willing to keep an open mind on this. And I'm not a big fan of the original.
