Though his comments are pessimistic I have to grudginly agree with jamesdalton. I've collected FF comics for 20 years, one of my favorites. The first FF movie left me wondering if this was the best they could do or if the filmakers realized along with us that the film fell below it's potential. If they think they did a great job then FF 2 will likely suffer in the same way. As for Alba I agree she's pretty but not much more. I didn't care for her Susan Storm or Dark Angel or much of anything else she's been in but I don't fault others who see more. I'm willing to give her another look in FF 2. I guesss I'm a hopeless optimist.

Favreau sounds like he has a good grasp of what the film should be like. I've been an Iron Man fan since I was 12 and got my first batch of comics so I've been patiently waiting my turn for my favorite hero to make it to the theater. You never can tell how these things work out. It could be a Spiderman-Xmen type film or we may get a giant turd like Daredevil or Catwoman. All we can do is cross our fingers and hope for the best. I don't care much for Tom Cruise as a person but he is without question a terrific actor. As Iron Man...nah! I'm hoping for someone I've never seen before that really nails the part. We'll see.

HP 6 and MADAGASCAR 2 find release dates - Aug 09, 2006 - 06:35pm
I generally love CGI animated comedies. I expected quite a lot from Madagascar considering the voice talents involved but I remember sitting there watching, slightly grinning on a couple of occasions. I guess it just didn't work for me. FYI. I loved ICE AGE (missed ICE AGE 2 but looking forward to dvd release), both Shrek films, both Toy Story films, Incredibles was incredible. Enjoyed A Bug's Life, A Shark Tale, Finding Nemo, Robots, Cars, etc.
